Nessa Lea
Singer/songwriter and Curb Records recording artist Nessa Lea has had a deep love of music since she was a young girl growing up in the beautiful, rural countryside of Tennessee, just south of Nashville. With influences ranging from Loretta Lynn to Queen to Lana Del Rey, and a vast songwriting catalog of her own, the naturally-reserved vocalist spent most of her life intending to keep her music to herself. But Music City has a way of working its magic. Nessa found
herself performing classic cover songs at Nashville’s Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre – which served as the setting for part of the 1975 film, Nashville – as guests dined. One of those guests, country music historian, author, and producer Don Cusic knew her voice needed to be shared. Cusic worked with Nessa to record some of the many songs she had been writing, ultimately sharing the music with Curb Records’ Chairman, Mike Curb, who wasted no time in offering Nessa a record deal. Those closest to her describe her as a very good friend, and a deep well of secrets. The world only stands to become a better place as this young talent begins to share more of herself with all of us.
