YourWelcome Shon was born (Oct 18. 1992) in Little Rock, Arkansas to his single mother that was only 18 at the time. Having a young mother that often played Notorious B.I.G., DMX, 8 ball & MJG, Bone Thugs, and early Cash Money Records, Shon grew up with an early affinity for an eclectic taste in hip hop and began writing raps at the age of 7. Performing at as many talent shows, church events, and school functions as he could, as Shongrew older music would remain a side passion he placed behind his pursuits in school.   Having had a mother that was in college when he was born, Shon was always pushed to put his education first; a task that seemed to be effortless. Shon skipped two grades in elementary school and won numerous awards for his academics throughout his education career. “I never really had to study. School came so easy to me, that’s just how God made my mind. I always hated school I was just good at it,” says YourWelcome Shon about his educational achievements. Having role models like Lil Wayne, T.I., Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, and others, Shon would find his education as a way to sharpen the lyricism in his rapping, and open the doors to expanding his artist taste to artist and bands in different genres (Green Day, Daft Punk, Paramore, All time low, Good Charlotte & others).
